Russian mom’s recipe of «Yaichnitsa»
«Yaichnitsa» means «something from eggs» in Russian. When I was a child, my mother cooked it every Sunday morning for breakfast. That’s why when I make this meal, it reminds me of my motherland and my family. Besides, egg protein is good for health. So please try to make it yourselves!
Ingredients: for 3 persons (if they are not very hungry)
5 eggs
1 tomato
ham 200g
cheese 100g
1 bunch of dill
feta cheese 100g
vegetable oil, salt, pepper
* if you do not eat pork, you can also use beef sausage
Recipe
- Pour a little oil into a shallow pan, then heat it until the oil starts to vaporize.
- Firstly, thinly cut tomatoes, then put them into the pan along with ham, cheese, and feta cheese; next, little by little, put raw eggs; finally, add dill.
- Apply a little bit of salt and pepper.
- Cook until the eggs turn from a liquid into a viscous state. Ready! Split it into 3 pieces and relocate to the plates with a spatula.
